Alexander Peskanov's 'Ballad of the Sun' depicts the daily journey of the sun, how it rises, crosses the sky and finally disappears at sunset. The most beautiful sunrise, that composer ever experienced was over Cascade Mountains. The first rays of sunlight pierced the rising mist, releasing the mountains from the darkness of night. The earth has patiently awaited the arrival of the sun, sharing its warmth and life giving light!
