Alexander Peskanov was inspired to write Africana after his travels to South Africa and listening to beautiful rhythms and melodies. Originally, Africana was written by Peskanov as a piano solo and piano duet. Later, the work was orchestrated by composer's friend, Juliana Reina Téllez and premiered by Teclas Sinfónicas Orchestra, conducted by Camilo Rojas. The package includes the following parts:
